'Lucan Festival returns this year from Tuesday 6th to Saturday 10th September.
The team at Lucan Festival have put together a jam-packed schedule of events for the whole family including:
Walking Tour of Historical Lucan Village, Tuesday 6th, 10am
This superb walking tour commences at 10am with attendees invited to meet at Circle K garage. Attendance is free of charge.
Schooldays in the 50’s/ 60’s, Wednesday 7th September, 10am
This is a public forum where today’s school children have the opportunity to ask some of Lucan’s senior citizens about their school days. This event take place at the Presbyterian Church and is free to attend.
The Ingenious Mr Hutchenson, Thursday 8th September, 8pm
Illustrated talk on the Dubliner who inspired the American War of Independence and the United Irishmen. Attendance is free of charge and the event to be held at the Presbyterian Church.
Lucan House Grounds, Saturday 10th September, 1:30-5pm
View the beautiful House built in 1770’s in its surrounds of 26 acres which include Vesey’s/ Colthurst’s family graveyard, Sarsfield’s Monument, Bathing House and early 1700’s stables and Vintage Horse Carriage. Entertainment by Lucan Gospel Choir, Lucan Concert Band, Philipino’s Choir as well as Nickola Hendy and her pupils. There will be a very special Birds of Prey display plus lots more. Tickets are €6 at the gate and children under 12 can attend for free.
Family Day Event, Sunday 11th from 12:30pm
The final day of this year's Lucan Festival will take place on Sunday in Lucan Village. Join the community for a fun filled day including Kiddies Road Train, Lucan Tram and Bus, Wooley's Pet Farm, Battle of the Bands, Street Entertainment a model Railway and lots more.

The area will be closed to through traffic from Ardeevin to the Ulster Bank from 10am-7pm.
