Dr John P. Barrett, MB, MRCGP, DCH, DObs, DOphth

The Medical Centre at Lucan Shopping Centre opened in 1997.  It is a ground floor, wheelchair accessible unit with unlimited free parking available. The practice caters for both private and Medical Card patients and the newly introduced Doctor Visit card for under 6’s.

Dr Barrett, in addition to being a General Practitioner is also a Medical Ophthalmologist on the Specialist Register and he provides Diabetic eye screening, minor surgical procedures, Glaucoma checks and takes referrals from local Opticians and GP’s on a range of eye disorders.

At the Medical Centre we provide all the usual GP services as well as the following:

• STI screening
• Holiday vaccinations
• Cryotherapy for warts etc
• Minor surgical procedures

Dr Barrett is a graduate of Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin 1988. Rênee and Jessica are the practice secretaries.
